The problem is people will get an error if they try to use the editor without being authenticated.  But I guess I could just notify them that they will not be able to save when offline.

Thanks to everyone who entered the contest!  JuanG was the big winner, with 4 great levels that were hard to choose from.  In the end I went with the following:

 

$50 winner

JuanG - "Color Match Game"

I don't even know how you did this, very cool!
 

$25 runner up

levelmaker4321 - "Elevators"

Nice cohesive use of the elevator trick, although not especially unconventional.

illari - "World is Hollow and I Touched Sky..."
Although I don't think this one is stable enough to release, it has some very cool ideas.

Since publisher talks are dragging out the release date, I'm going to go ahead and extend the date for this contest to June 22nd.  That's another month, so no rush now!  FYI I'm preferring levels that are on the easier side.

We want to see the wildest levels you can come up with, using the new features of Jetpack 2!  We added some new features late in the game, and we need some new levels that use the new features to show off unique & different ideas.  Try not to make your levels too difficult.
Enter as many levels as you want, but all submissions must be in by midnight, June 22nd.

 

The theme of this contest is "Unconventional".  We need attention-grabbing levels that really make Jetpack 2 stand out above a massive crowd of other games.  Use your imagination and design a level with weird and unique concepts.  Tile groups, and the new trigger switches are great for this.  See the example level in the "Contest Submissions" folder.

Awards
The best level wins $50
2 runner ups win $25
All other levels we use win $5

Rules
* Use the special full editor release here.  Save any levels you want to enter in the "Contest Submissions" folder.
* Levels should reflect any of the concepts: clever, imaginative, bizarre, mind bending
* Attractiveness counts!  Levels can use any tileset or combination.

Small Print
* By submitting a level for this contest, you agree that levels we choose become the exclusive property of Chaostorm for all purposes.

* We may award no prizes if there are no levels that meet our standards.
* Chaostorm has the final say in choosing the winning levels.

Ahh I just fixed the level links.

 

When you go to the beta sharing folder, you should be able to just click save.

I was hoping to get a release out before xmas, but I'm not going to make it. Various health issues, and too much time on refactoring. I'll see everyone in January!

Great! I ended up having to implement them myself, since Invision provides really poor docs. I prefer to do things myself, but it takes more time. But this way I get to do things right, like disallowing the characters 0, O, & I :)

The license key system has been implemented, and all license keys distributed! You can find your license key(s) by clicking your name, then "Purchases", then "Purchases".

Please let me know if you are missing a key.

You can't use these keys yet, but keep your license keys in a safe place, and don't share them with anyone!

#274 Screenshots should update when the level is edited

The game currently requests all images with a random number in the url so cacheing shouldn't be used. If there's an issue here, it's probably a new screenshot not being generated on save.

I just discovered that Adobe only supports Flash 11.2 on Linux. The next release will target 11.2 so it will run on Linux.
